A low-fat diet can be important to anyone who suffers from pancreatitis. The reason is that diets which are high in fat can often lead to high cholesterol, triglyceride and overall blood lipid levels.

The Mayo Clinic says that having pancreatitis can lead to dehydration, either through vomiting or decreased appetite because of the pain. By having a water bottle with you at all times it can help ensure adequite fluid consumption.
